Netcool ® /OMNIbus TM 3.5 Administration & Configuration Course (Unix) Description

Course Overview
The Netcool/OMNIbus Administration and Configuration Course enhances the knowledge gained on the Netcool/OMNIbus User Course, and is designed to address all aspects of installation, initial setup, administration, configuration and customization of Netcool/OMNIbus.

Prerequisites
Each candidate must have a practical understanding of UNIX at system administration level with the ability to:

  •  Write and debug simple shell scripts
  •  Use the UNIX editor vi
  •  Create and maintain system users
  •  Navigate the UNIX directory structure
  •  Use basic utilities such as ps, telnet, ftp etc.
  •  Determine and resolve the cause of a software problem

Attendance of the Netcool/OMNIbus User Course is mandatory.

Who will benefit?
Network Operation Centre personnel who will be required to install Netcool/OMNIbus or perform administration and configuration tasks.
Micromuse, Channel Partner or System Integrator personnel who will be required to install, configure, maintain or support Netcool/OMNIbus systems.
