Adage's Six-Step Implementation Methodology

Step 1 - Readiness Assessment

Technical Consulting
Adage Professional Services has highly trained technical experts on staff to improve your understanding and provide support through a thorough needs assessment. Our experts visit your site and review your data requirements, reporting mechanisms, project structures, hardware and systems configurations, existing processes, current practices and more.

Once we assess your needs, we can determine, if necessary, which Adage project management solutions will work best, and how to implement them in the most efficient manner possible. A Needs Assessment Team typically consists of the following individuals from your organization:

  • An implementation sponsor
  • Core implementation team members
  • Project managers
  • Pilot users representatives
  • Resource managers
  • A Database administrator
  • LAN and WAN administrators

Step 2 – Design

Custom Reports, Templates, Distribution Lists and Schedules
In the Design step, we design the strategy to implement the recommended Adage solution. Step 2 uses the following elements to create a customized implementation plan:

  • Definition of project management, project office, supporting data structures, departmental and resource management processes and roles to be modeled for the pilot
  • Identification of views and reports of project data to support each position within your company
  • Setup of test environment
  • Documentation of detail for how the solution is installed, set up, structured and carried out to meet the needs outlined in step 1
  • Creation of a working model test plan consisting of test scenarios, hardware/software requirements, training requirements and a test schedule
  • Training curriculum and schedule

Depending on your needs, we can design custom solutions easily and cost effectively to fit your unique specifications. To capitalize on similarities among your project, Adage also can create time-saving, repeatable plans and project templates to serve as starting points for your project managers.

To help you manage work most effectively, Adage defines information needs and creates intelligent reporting packages. Working with your staff at every level, we design reports and checklists that clearly state the type and detail of every project throughout your organization.

Step 3– Prototype and Test

Creating a Structure, Testing Prototypes, Status Reports
Step three is to build and test a working model. The objective is to show how Adage solutions can be tailored to meet the requirements identified in step 1, and can be designed as specified in step 2. Adage will:

  • Create the working model
  • Prepare testers
  • Conduct the test and document results
  • Develop custom training

By testing and debugging your project management environment with step 3, we identify and resolve any issues in structure and information flow. We also develop coding schemes for activities, resources, project structures and build code dictionaries to ensure consistency of data throughout your environment.

Step 4 - Pilot

Testing, Procedure Manuals
A pivotal point in the implementation of any Adage solution, the pilot test helps us determine a detailed plan for a successful rollout.

We will prepare and conduct a pilot operation that enables a targeted group of users to work with the software. We can train -- either on or off-site -- using your real projects and answer questions or solve problems as they arise. Using your real-world project data ensures that the software has been configured accurately and is performing to your standards.

Following your Pilot Test, you will be provided with a customized procedure manual for using the software in your organization. Use this manual as support for existing procedures and policies.

Step 5 - Rollout

On-site Support and Training
As you roll out Adage solutions throughout your organization, we continue to provide on-site direction and support, allowing us to troubleshoot and solve any unforeseen challenges that arise.

Whether you're implementing an Adage solution for the first time, or adding on to an existing Adage implementation, Professional Services can provide the training you need. We offer an array of courses designed to help you optimize your use of Adage solutions.

Join us for a training session at our facilities in Norcross, GA, or we can send a trainer to your facility. After training is complete, final rollout will begin. Adage will monitor performance of the rollout plan and spot-check users to ensure the project management processes are functioning as intended.

Step 6 - Assess Results

Implementation Overview
The final step in the implementation plan includes a formal assessment of results achieved and lessons learned. This will be presented as a formal, detailed presentation.
